This pin is a beautiful piece of a vintage collection made by well known artist Tripp Shealy. These were mostly produced in the early 2000s and friends of the grateful dead will remember these pins having a strong presence at many shows for being carefully crafted with strong attention to detail. Each is stamped on the back with signature and individual number. Long since out of print from a very limited run. Some tough to find pins for sure, especially in their condition which is near mint.
